FAQ

Short answers about values, Traderie-style trading, fair deals, and not getting scammed.

Common questions

What is a Traderie-style Roblox marketplace?

An "I Have / I Want" system that connects traders. List your items, search values, and find safe exchange partners across all Roblox games.

How do I start trading on this platform?

Create a profile, list your "I Have" and "I Want" items. We finds matches automatically. Check values, verify trust scores, and negotiate. All trades happen through Roblox's official system.

How are item values determined?

Item values are calculated using multiple data points: Recent Average Price (RAP) for Roblox limiteds from official Roblox data, historical trade data from thousands of completed exchanges, demand metrics based on search frequency and wishlist appearances, trading velocity indicating item liquidity, and market trends showing price directions. We aggregate data from multiple sources and update values hourly to reflect current market conditions. Different games use different valuation systems - Roblox limiteds use RAP, Adopt Me uses community-driven demand-based value points, and Murder Mystery 2 uses tier-based values.

Is this platform safe? How do you prevent scams?

Yes, our platform implements multiple safety features to protect users: full trust scores aggregating trader history, verified account badges for users who complete additional identity verification, detailed trade history tracking for transparency, scam reporting systems with rapid response, educational resources about common scam tactics, and community moderation. However, all actual trades occur through Roblox's official trading system - we never ask for passwords, handle items directly, or facilitate trades outside official Roblox interfaces. Always verify trader reputation, check item values independently, and only trade through official systems.

What Roblox games are supported?

We support all major Roblox trading games including: Roblox Limiteds (official limited items with RAP tracking), Adopt Me (pets, vehicles, toys, gifts), Murder Mystery 2 (knives, guns, godly items), Royale High (accessories, halos, diamonds), Pet Simulator X (huge pets, exclusive items), Bloxburg (items and builds), Islands (resources and items), Tower of Hell, and many other games with active trading communities. Each game's unique economy is tracked separately with specialized value calculations appropriate to that game's trading mechanics.

Do I need Roblox Premium to trade?

You need Roblox Premium (formerly Builders Club) only to trade Roblox limiteds through the official Roblox trading system. However, you can trade items within individual games like Adopt Me, Murder Mystery 2, and Royale High without Premium using those games' built-in trading systems. Our platform helps you find trading partners and assess fair values regardless of your Premium status. If you trade primarily in-game items rather than limiteds, Premium is not required.

How does the I Have / I Want matching system work?

The I Have / I Want system creates structured profiles showing items you're willing to trade (I Have) and items you're seeking (I Want). Our matching algorithm continuously scans all user profiles across the platform, identifying traders whose "I Have" list contains items on your "I Want" list and whose "I Want" list includes items from your "I Have" inventory. When compatible matches are found, you receive notifications with value analysis showing whether proposed exchanges are fair, favoring one party, or significantly imbalanced. This automated matching eliminates tedious manual searching and helps you find relevant trading partners quickly and efficiently.

Can I trade items between different Roblox games?

Yes, cross-game trading is very common where you exchange items from one game for items in another (e.g., Adopt Me pets for Murder Mystery 2 items or Roblox limiteds). Our platform provides cross-game value conversions and equivalency calculations to help evaluate fair exchange ratios when trading between different game economies. Since items can't physically move between games, cross-game trades involve separate transactions in each respective game - you trade your Adopt Me items to the other person in Adopt Me, and they trade their MM2 items to you in MM2. Both parties must trust each other or use middleman services for very high-value cross-game exchanges.

What should I do if I get scammed?

If you're scammed, immediately report the incident to Roblox support (roblox.com/support) with all available evidence including screenshots, trade details, timestamps, and the scammer's user information. Also report the scammer on our platform so we can ban their account and warn other users through trust score reductions and scam alerts. Unfortunately, Roblox rarely reverses completed trades even in clear scam cases, so prevention is crucial. Always trade through official systems, verify trader trust scores before high-value trades, double-check all items in trade windows before accepting, never participate in trust trading, and never share your password or account information.

How often are item values updated?

We update item values hourly for high-volume items with frequent trading activity to ensure maximum accuracy. Lower-volume items with less frequent trades update every 6-24 hours depending on available trade data and market activity. RAP for Roblox limiteds updates immediately when new sales occur since Roblox provides real-time RAP data through their API. Demand metrics, trend indicators, trading velocity statistics, and market analytics refresh multiple times daily to ensure you always have current, accurate information for making informed trading decisions.

Are there fees for using this platform?

Our platform is completely free to use for all features including browsing items, checking values, creating trading profiles, setting up wishlists, receiving match notifications, and connecting with other traders. We don't charge any fees because trades occur through Roblox's official trading systems, not through our platform. Note that Roblox itself takes a 30% tax on Robux transactions when trading limiteds through their system, but this is Roblox's fee, not ours. In-game trades within Adopt Me, Murder Mystery 2, Royale High, and other games typically have no fees.

How do trust scores work?

Trust scores aggregate multiple reputation factors into a single 0-100 rating: account age (older accounts receive higher base scores), total completed trades (more trades indicate experience), positive review percentage from previous trading partners, verification status (verified accounts receive score bonuses), trading consistency and activity patterns, and absence of negative reports or scam accusations. New accounts start with neutral scores around 50. Each successful trade with positive feedback increases trust scores incrementally. Negative reviews, scam reports, or suspicious activity decrease scores significantly. High trust scores (90+) indicate highly reliable traders with proven track records, while low scores (<50) warrant caution or trade avoidance.

Can I set price alerts for specific items?

Yes, our platform supports fully customizable price alerts for any tracked item in our database. Set alerts based on multiple conditions: absolute value thresholds ("notify when Frost Dragon drops below 1700 value"), percentage changes ("alert when value increases or decreases by 10%"), demand shifts ("notify when demand level reaches Very High"), or listing availability ("alert when new listings appear for rare items"). You'll receive notifications via email or platform messages when alert conditions trigger, helping you capitalize on trading opportunities and market movements without constant manual monitoring.

What makes a trade fair?

Fair trades exchange items of approximately equal value based on current market data, typically within 5-10% variance to account for market volatility and valuation methodology differences. Use our value calculator to sum the total values of items on each side of the proposed trade. Small differences (5-10%) are generally acceptable and often reflect personal preferences - some traders willingly overpay slightly for items they really want or accept underpay for quick liquidation. Large value gaps (20%+ differences) usually indicate unfair trades and should only proceed if both parties explicitly acknowledge and agree to unequal exchanges for specific reasons like collection completion or strategic positioning.

How do I improve my trading skills?

Improve your trading through continuous education and deliberate practice: read our full trading guides covering strategies and tactics, study item values regularly to develop intuition about market dynamics, start with small low-risk trades to learn mechanics without major capital exposure, analyze both successful and failed trades to identify patterns and improvement areas, follow market trends and Roblox news that affect values, engage with the trading community to learn from experienced traders, specialize in 1-2 game categories initially rather than spreading attention too thin, keep detailed records of all trades to track performance metrics, and maintain discipline in following your trading strategy rather than making emotional decisions.

What is Traderie?

Traderie is a community marketplace pattern for Roblox and gaming trades: players list what they have and want, discover partners, and negotiate using shared value references. Execution still happens in official game trade windows. Read our full explainer.

How does trading demand work?

Demand reflects active acquisition interest—offers, wishlists, searches—not just rarity. High demand can lift prices faster than slow-moving rare items. Track demand on our item demand hub and high demand list.

What does rarity mean for prices?

Rarity describes how hard an item is to obtain. Prices rise when rarity is permanent (retired, limited) and demand is stable. Farmable “rare” labels without demand often trade like commons. See rarity guide.

What does overpay mean?

Overpay (OP) means giving more reference value than you receive. Strategic overpay can make sense for set completion or high-liquidity flips; unexplained large gaps are red flags. Overpay guide · fair trades hub.

How do trade values change over time?

Values move with patches, supply injections, hype cycles, and player-count trends. We log methodology-driven updates on value updates and explain drivers in value fluctuations guide.

What is the difference between value and demand?

Value summarizes where trades recently cleared. Demand measures how many traders want the item now. You can have high value but falling demand—exit risk—or rising demand before value catches up—early opportunity.

How do trade calculators and checkers work?

Calculators sum reference values per side. Checkers add demand, fairness bands, and outlier flags. Use the trade calculator for speed and the Traderie value checker before high-tier trades. How trade checkers work.

How does the gaming trading economy work?

Developers set rules; players set prices. Updates that add supply or remove currency sinks ripple through every tier. Economy guide · trading economy explainer.

How does item popularity affect value?

Popularity spikes (creators, videos, leaks) can front-run formal value updates. Popularity without liquidity still makes exits hard—verify offer depth, not hype alone.

Best beginner trading tips?

Start in liquid mid-tiers, verify every trade in-window, journal outcomes, and read beginner guide plus safe trading before touching grails.

What are the most valuable trading items?

Grails combine scarcity, prestige, and whale liquidity. Lists differ by game—see most valuable items and best items hub with intent labels (flip vs collect).
